Mesa Verde National Park |
We saw wild horses and a coyote at Mesa Verde. Much of the area was

When you think of sand dunes, does Colorado come to mind? Great Sand
Dunes National Park and Preserve, in Southern Colorado, is home to
North America's tallest sand dunes. A backdrop of snow covered
mountains serves as an ironic setting for the 750 ft. dunes.
From a distance, the waves of sand look like satin. We hiked to the top
as the hot sand burned our feet. It is surely one of the most memorable
experiences we've had, yet. |
