	Driving through the San Juan National Forest, we stopped to investigate the source of jagged waterfalls and snow-covered cliffs.

Don't drive through Colorado at night! Nothing can describe the awe of standing beneath these graceful monsters of land.

We saw wild horses and a coyote at Mesa Verde. Much of the area was scarred by fire, but burned trees looked beautiful against a bright blue sky.
The only point in the U.S. where four states come together with right angles.	At Canyons of the Ancients, there are remnants where the community protested turning the land into a national monument.

	When you think of sand dunes, does Colorado come to mind? Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, in Southern Colorado, is home to North America's tallest sand dunes. A backdrop of snow covered mountains serves as an ironic setting for the 750 ft. dunes. From a distance, the waves of sand look like satin. We hiked to the top as the hot sand burned our feet. It is surely one of the most memorable experiences we've had, yet.

In Evergreen and Estes park, Elk roam the streets due to overpopulating in the Nat. Park.	Baby deer under house arrest in Rocky Mtn. Nat. Park.
