Pictured Rocks Nat. Lakeshore provides an incredible view of Lake Superior! The colors a magnificent, and it almost makes you forget that this is only a lake! (right) Miner's Castle juts upward from the cliff

	We explored Michigan's upper peninsula, or as the locals call it, the U.P. (right) A heavy apple tree is relieved as Alfonso grabs a snack!

Visiting Cheboygan,	we ate lunch in the park
and found some writing in cornfields	Then went to Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat. Lakeshore
Alligator nose, along the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive.	We never realized how diverse Michigan is!
There is a 450 ft. drop to Lake Michigan	So we stayed at the top!
	No, we didn't see Eminem! (right) James Oliver Curwood's writing studio. Many of his later works were composed in the tower. He was also an active conservationist.
	Detroit, Michigan. "Motor City" is the center of the U.S. automobile industry.
While much of the city is run down, there is still beauty to be found!	Dearborn, Michigan is home to the Ford Motor Company, and also has the highest Muslim population in the city. This is evident as you drive down the road. We couldn't even read a sign to join the U.S. military!
