We decided to pick one we wanted to live in |
State Capital in Providence |
Roger Williams' compass. Williams founded the city of Providence, as
well as co founded the state of Rhode Island. He was a theologian who
advocated the separation of Church and State as well as fair dealing
and treatment of Native American's. |
After Williams' death in 1684 his remains were moved for reburial.
Interestingly, when his remains were unearthed it was discovered that the
roots of an apple tree had followed his decaying body and taken the
shape of his skeleton. |
We met with Kris Donovan, owner of The Donovan Gallery in Tiverton, RI

display |
